What is an FFU (Fan Filter Unit)?

An FFU is an extremely important motorized air filtration device, mainly used for purifying the circulating air. The ambient air contains harmful suspended particles such as dust, bacteria, and viruses. The FFU can precisely remove these particles and supply air that meets high cleanliness standards to spaces such as clean rooms, laboratories, medical facilities, and micro-environments.

FFUs are generally installed in the ceiling or floor grilles of relevant systems. Large clean rooms have extremely high requirements for air cleanliness and require a large number of FFUs, usually ranging from several hundred to several thousand.

In terms of the internal structure, the FFU integrates several key components. As the "first line of defense", the pre-filter can intercept hair and large particle dust, reducing the burden on subsequent components and extending the service life of the equipment. The high-efficiency air filter is the core component, which can capture tiny particles of 0.3 microns and below, with a filtration efficiency of over 99.97%. The fan provides energy for air circulation and can be flexibly adjusted in speed through internal control. Coupled with the air distribution device, it can send clean air evenly and stably to various places, achieving efficient and precise air filtration and distribution, and meeting the strict requirements of various places for a high-quality air environment.
