A fan filter unit (FFU) is a type of motor-driven air filtration equipment. Its core function is to provide purified air to clean rooms, laboratories, medical facilities, or micro-environmental spaces by removing harmful airborne particles from recirculating air. Such units are typically embedded and installed within the ceiling or floor grid structure of the system, facilitating the formation of a stable air circulation system in specific areas.

 

For large clean rooms, the number of FFUs required must be proportionally matched to the space scale. In some application scenarios, the number of units can range from hundreds to thousands, ensuring air purification coverage for large areas. Internally, FFUs usually integrate independent pre-filtration devices, high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filters, and internally controllable fan air distribution systems.
